The Law Offices of Thomas Leary, APC, is based in San Diego County, and has an emphasis in personal injury law. Mr. Leary was born and raised in San Diego County, graduated from Helix High School in La Mesa in 1977, received a BA from U.C. Davis in 1982, and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1985. After practicing law in Minnesota for several years,
Mr. Leary returned to San Diego on St. Patrick's Day 1989.

Upon Mr. Leary's return to San Diego, he was engaged by insurance companies to perform personal injury defense work for several years. Given the experience of representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Mr. Leary decided to represent the interests of injured people solely. The past experience of working for insurance companies has allowed Mr. Leary to evaluate matters objectively and to pursue claims with appropriate aggressiveness.
   
Mr. Leary received an "AV" rating by way of confidential opinions of members of the Bar of
